Ozonic molecules from the North Atlantic running gently through your skin. Plankton currents colliding violently against majestic statues carved with cedar wood. Adventures of overseas species that invade the depths of your being leaving an indelible mark. The brave sun and the subtlety of the soft sea breeze. Definitely, trying to describe 23NAO by Agua de Surf perfume is like trying to describe what it feels like to ride a wave.
23NAO – North Atlantic Ocean – is the first of five perfumes of Agua de Surf made entirely in Barcelona. The way it has been created, with natural molecular ingredients from the North Atlantic Ocean, selected by the prestigious perfumer Ramon Monegal, and the production methods employed, with handmade pieces, one by one, such as the stopper or the packaging, make each perfume as unique as each wave is.
Ramón Monegal is the founder and the perfumer for the Ramón Monegal Perfums. It is based in Barcelona. Ramón Monegal studied in the Barcelona design Center in 1977 and a year later in ESADE, activities he combined with is his perfume training in Paris.
Ramón Monegal created his first frangrance “Alada” in 1979. Since that time he was the creative Director of the Spanish perfume company Myrurgia. He developed “olfactory images” for Adolfo Dominguez, Antonio Miró, Aigner, Ines de la Fresange, or Massimo Dutti among more than twenty brands. In 1985 he was appointed to the board of Myrurgia, and later Senior Vice-President. Finally, in 2000, Antonio Puig acquired Myrurgia, who requested his collaboration to continue leading the development of several contracts and new brands such as Maison Perfume.
In 2007 he decided to leave the Puig Group with the objective to create his own brand of perfumes which he decided to call Ramón Monegal. Ramón Monegal is a relatively new brand which was launched in 2009 and presently has approximately 32 perfumes.
