Act by Der Duft is a play of light and shadow, curvaceous sensuality, soft focus, elegant eroticism, inherent realism and subtle allusions to classic perfumery.
Act begins with citrus portrayed with soft-focus lenses, its freshness and bitterness softened and enriched with hints of green, made from star fruit (carambola). This fruity, pulpy and delicately juicy tone flows smoothly, forming soft curves that add depth and glide with ease into a sensation of ultimate tenderness created by vetiver. This well-balanced and vibrant overture exhibits an understated sweetness, a fluid juiciness with a hint of tartness.
The ripe carambola accord, and the fact that its fruity character is so well paced and restrained by the introduction of a slightly smoky, dry, woody vetiver. Erotic but never explicit, juicy but not sticky or overly sweet, and this makes it seductive.
In the last stages of Act, this woody drydown, with vetiver, takes us to the other side of the fragrance: it changes its flow, which becomes deeper and darker. It takes another direction with tender woods, dry and earthy tobacco leaves, spicy lavender and deep green tones of moss.
Act is a collaboration with Prin Lomros. Prin is a Thailand-based perfumer and winner of the Art and Olfaction Awards in 2017 and 2018. Her creations are very recognizable and yet Act is so unmistakably Der Duft: very creative yet very wearable, very artistic yet accessible and, at the same time, allows for multiple interpretations.
