If you know Berlin, you might know our Sunday night rituals. This perfume is simply my way to thank those who curate the right mix of people and protect spaces where everyone can freely express themselves. The Door by DL Roelen is a smouldering, leathery, and animalic second skin. This is not for everyone.
“The Door is something I created for a place that I’ve been visiting for a decade now, one of Berlin’s most famous clubs. It’s the doors, the bouncers that curate this crowd of people that are peacefully raving each Sunday and the freedom of expression that is happening in that place. So this fragrance reflects that pretty much. It’s a smokey, animalic, woody, sweaty, latex. It’s a second skin, it’s a very sexy woody fragrance. I sent a big box to the team there and now some of them are wearing it and it’s created a friendship. That’s the beauty of it”. – DL Roelen
