The release of Anthem coincided with the bicentennial of the revolution that led to the birth of the modern Greek state, after a long struggle for freedom and independence. Composed by master perfumer Chris Maurice under the creative direction of Manos Gerakinis, the fragrance is an empowering blend of fresh, floral, spicy, woody, and ambery notes.
With its olfactive richness, Anthem evokes Greece’s position at the crossroad of three continents, and its historic role as a melting pot of various cultural influences. Through its harmony of raw materials that echo Greek nature (lemon, saffron, rose, labdanum), and of ingredients that were introduced to Greece via the established trade routes (cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, sandalwood), Anthem ultimately communicates a precious message for peaceful coexistence.
