Ponsa Barcelona was born from the inspiration of its creator and perfumer Alejandro Ponsa, for his passion for nature and perfumery since his adolescence and that in each stage of his life has been acquiring knowledge, which are always present in his creations. Recovering traditional elements and techniques that have been used since antiquity and throughout the history of perfumery. Ponsa Barcelona aims to reach perfumery lovers who see in it an art, transferring in their creations beautiful memories and offers fine and luxurious fragrances.
The heat hits Bangladesh, I walk through its streets, its aromas taking hold of me. Growing up is a surprising journey and so is Indy Oud, the almost animal-like density of the oud merges in a striking way with mint and white grapefruit, making it a unique and risky perfume of noble and enigmatic materials that dominate in a journey through the senses. Spikenard and valerian trap us wrapped in woods, resins and vibrant patchouli along with the sensuality of musk. Wild and vital for those who take a journey of no return.
Indy Oud is handmade with natural ingredients and contains natural Agarwood extract.

Perfumista

In the 1960s Alejandro Ponsa‘s grandfather worked for a well-known brand of gin and wanted to found his very own spirits distillery. Those were difficult times and after several attempts he was unable to carry out the project. It was during this period when Alejandro had his first experiences with the art of distillation. Now, Alejandro continues with the art of distillation, but in a totally different sector, that of perfumes.
His is a personal project that began as a hobby. At a relatively young age Alejandro began to collect perfumes. This passion eventually led him into wanting to learn how to create his very own perfumes and niche brand.
His training in perfumery is self-taught and literally comes from his curiosity and the desire to learn something he really loves. Alejandro is passionate about nature and what can be learned from it. He has done a lot of fieldwork in the collection of plants, distillation and production of essential oils. He also had the opportunity to be mentored by a couple of perfume professionals in his hometown, Barcelona. It was during this time he discovered the incredibly wide range of raw materials and ingredients brought from all over the world.
